I realize that it’s been a while since I’ve shared some blogging knowledge with ya’ll. It’s been about 3 years since I have started this journey and if you’ve been following for a while, you know that a LOT has changed.
Um, wow. The funny thing is, is that I don't actually feel old. But I will say that I learned so much about myself within this past year.
Discernment is a huge word in our faith. It means that we are figuring out what God is calling us to. It could be priesthood, the religious life, the sacrament of Holy Matrimony... learning what vocation God is calling you to join.
Once in a while I get to do something really cool. What's even better is when it nourishes my relationship with Jesus.
First, I haven't done so well on keeping up with my New Year's goals. #oops. But it happens to the best of us, right? I've been so lazy about praying my rosary every day, and I really need to get better about it. I also hadn't exercised for a while, but I will say that I went to the gym today and hoping to go tomorrow morning as well. #life.
On February 1st, my Mom and I brought home a new dog! She's SO adorable, but needs a lot of training, and while I wouldn't trade her for the world (did I mention that she's cute?) my Mom and I have to rearrange our schedules for her. And that's okay, but it means that I have to get into a new groove.
Sure, the faith was the same, but the way of doing things was different. I was involved in trying to form a ministry at my community college, but it fell through. So when I got to William Paterson, I had mixed feelings about jumping into a new ministry.
A few weeks ago, before I went on a blogging break, I wrote a post about how to create resolutions and even what mine are. But I had some time to reflect and I have somewhat re-adjusted my list, just a little bit.
There's a few things I have learned about resolutions. One is to never say, "I'm going to work out more." Well, of course, you fell through on that promise, because that statement is so vague!
