When I was little, summer used to be my favorite season. I mean, there’s no school, and that’s all a kid wants, right?
But now I love the fall and Christmas season (notice I didn’t say winter) or as some people call it, “MerryHallowThanksMas”. I can’t get enough of the leaves changing colors, getting to wear layers, and all of the fun fall festivities. It all leads to “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”.
I am so excited that it is September, because that means that fall will be here before we know it. It’s time for pumpkin picking, apple everything, and of course, Halloween. Now, I’ll be honest, aside from the candy, I used to hate Halloween. Why? Because I used to hate getting scared. In fact, I have never been inside a haunted house. I was too afraid of them when I was little and I’m still a bit scared to try one now. Maybe I’ll finally try it this year, but nothing too scary.
I also am wrestling with what I want to dress up as this year. So I thought that maybe, by giving you guys some ideas, it’ll inspire me, too!
Here are my top picks of costumes for 2018:
This dinosaur costume has been making me laugh since the day I saw it. I always see videos about these costumes on Facebook and I have even considered getting one myself. Imagine walking through your office, down the street, or even arriving as your Halloween party in this. It’s hilarious.
Who wouldn’t want to be everyone’s favorite Pokemon? This costume not only looks extremely comfortable but is an easy crowd-pleaser. You can wear this to your party, and then fall asleep in it (lol)!
Inspired by Katy Perry is this famous shark costume. Or if you’re a Bachelor fan, it’s a dolphin. Either way, this costume is sure to be a favorite and remembered for years to come.
Any man will be a fan of this classic character. And I guarantee you that there will be plenty of “Where’s Waldo” jokes.
No lady can get enough of Superman. He will save any Halloween party and be highlight of it, too!
You can never go wrong with a classic costume, especially if you want to add some “Jack Sparrow” flare to the party. An eye patch, a sword, and you’re “gold”en.
Go greek this Halloween with a stunning toga! You’ll be sure to make a statement with this pink one, accessorized with the headband and arm jewelry.
Here is a great idea for a last minute costume. Just wear a pair of wings with a dress or back jeans and a black shirt and you’re good to go! You’ll be a beautiful butterfly.
And last, but not least, some of my favorite princess costumes! You don’t even need a prince (but it would be cute as a couple’s outfit).
What are you being this year for Halloween?
