DIY: 30 Minute Peanut Butter Energy Balls

If you have been following me on here and on my Instagram, you know that I have been trying to be healthier this year. I am trying to drink more water, eat healthier, and exercise! With that, I am also trying to eat healthier snacks, especially stuff I can eat before and after a workout.

I found a recipe through Pinterest (of course). Here is the link to the original.

Here is what went down:

  • 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 3/4 cup oat and flax seed mix

Then, you just throw it all together in a bowl, mix it up, and let it chill for about 15-20 minutes. After, take it out of the fridge and roll the mix into balls. Then, place it back in the fridge until you are ready to eat!

I ended up substituting the oats and flax seed for a oat and oat flax seed mix (you will see it in the photo). This is because I didn’t have just flax seed, so I had to make do with what I had!
