DIY: Three Valentine’s Day Crafts You Will Love

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner; the perfect time to add a little extra pink to your house! I have started to realize that when you make your own decorations, you are able to make everything look exactly as you want it to, rather than just finding the closest thing.

The one thing with making decorations is that it can be time consuming, but these decorations can be done in under an hour and you can re-use them for years to come.

Candy Flowers

While I do love to have fresh flowers around the house, I am also a fan of fake ones because you don’t need to water them.

What you will need:

  • M&M’s (or candy of your choice)
  • Vases
  • A bouquet of fake flowers
  • Pliers (ignore the scissors here)

What to do:

Use the pliers to trim the flowers. You can also slide the leaves down/off the stem. Fill the vases halfway with the candy and stick the flowers in. You can also add a ribbon around the vase.

LOVE Letters

I have seen people make these, and I finally decided to give it a try!

What you will need:

  • The letters for “LOVE”
  • Yarn (colors of your choice)
  • Not pictured: Hot glue or gorilla glue
  • Not pictured: Stick-on gem stones

What to do:

Glue the start of the yarn to the back of the letter, then simply wrap it around the letters. Then glue down the end (make sure it is also on the back side). You can add gem stones to any empty white spaces. That’s it!

Heart Line

You can either make this horizontally or vertically. I chose to treat it like a garland.

What you will need:

  • Ribbon
  • Hearts (preferably wit holes on the edges)
  • Hole puncher (if they don’t have holes)
  • Not pictured: Scissors

What to do:

Simply string the hearts together with the ribbon through the holes. That’s it! You can also choose to write messages on the hearts if you choose, or add another decoration like glitter or stickers. I kept mine plain because I hung them up with the other decorations, but feel free to be creative 🙂

The final result:
