Korean Skincare Review: Fall in Love with Saranghae’s 5 Step Routine

My mother and I have been interested in Korean skincare ever since my brother came back from South Korea and gifted us with a massive supply of products! Now we use them whenever possible, especially face masks. Personally, having a skin care system that I can rely on is so important to me because I battled acne much in middle school and high school. Now that I am older, I don’t have such dramatic breakouts, but my skin is still pretty oily and I get some pimples here and there.

In 2017, I tried so many different skin care systems and routines, but this one from Saranghae really takes the cake. Their products are created with some really unique ingredients including:

  • Phellinus Linteus Mushroom
  • Ginseng
  • CoQ10
  • Hyaluronic Acid

All of these were taken from Asian Botanicals on the island of Jeju, South Korea.

This is the 5 step routine. It includes an oil and foam cleanser, an essence and serum, a cellular regeneration cream, a renewal eye cream, and a sheet mask.

Saranghae Nourishing & Moisturizing Oil + Foam Cleanser

This is probably the most unique cleanser I have ever used. It’s the first cleanser I have used where you lather after applying it to your face, and you don’t have to wet your face before applying it. It comes out as a gel and is a tad sticky, but that’s probably for the lathering that will happen after you apply it. It also smells amazing. Oh, and I can’t forget to point out that it has the truffle extract and gold! You can literally see it when you pump it out. Who doesn’t want that?!

Saranghae Deep Radiance Essence + Serum

This serum is used to “give your skin the good stuff” by providing nutrients and vitamins to your skin. Like the cleanser, it pumps out like a gel but is not sticky at all. Your skin will feel extremely smooth and soft after applying it for several hours and it also smells wonderful. My skin definitely feel nourished! It also includes 10% Phellinus Linteus Mushroom Extract. The serum will help your face maintain elasticity.

Saranghae Firm & Lift Cellular Regeneration Cream

If you have been stressed out and your skin shows it, this cream will reverse it, according to Saranghae. While results aren’t claimed to occur overnight, this cream definitely has helped bring my skin back to life! My bare face has a little red to it, but I can see it starting to heal 🙂 Plus, I love the texture of it… creamy and luxurious! Just a little dab goes a long way.

Saranghae Focus Renewal Eye Cream

I have heard it said that there is nothing wrong with using firming and renewal creams when you are in your 20s. That’s why I was so glad that this is part of the system! While I have yet to develop wrinkles around my eyes, I do get dry skin around there, which has felt more rejuvenated lately. The Saranghae eye cream includes adenosine, vitamin B3, elastin, collagen, and Phellinus Linetus Mushroom Extract.

Face masks are my favorite beauty treatment for my face. I have tried dozens of different sheet masks, but this one truly nourished my skin unlike any other one. Let me tell ya, the Koreans definitely know what they are doing when it comes to beauty. My face felt amazing from this mask. Ingredients include CoQ10 and Hyaluronic Acid. I just put it on for about 10 minutes, take it off, and my face feels so fresh!

Well, what are you waiting for???
