I tend to forget that Christmas is just the start of winter…which is a whole different season for fashion. Like fall, layering is more than welcome. However, once it gets below 30 degrees, it’s easier to just wear sweaters and other heavier pieces of clothing. Sometimes people just wear a really nice heavy coat, especially if they’re going to be spending a lot of time outside since no one will see their outfit unless they’re indoors.
However, even though “bundled up” doesn’t always look super cute, I still have a couple pieces that I LOVE to wear during the season.
“A woman with good shoes is never ugly.”- Coco Chanel.
I love a good pair of shoes and in the winter, it is always important to have a pair or two for all of the festivities. Even after Christmas and New Year’s, there are still get-togethers and parties to go to for birthdays, weddings, ect.
I love the little bow detail on the toes and they last a while! The height is also perfect…not too high since I am not a fan of high heels. They are by Jessica Simpson.
I love to wear scarves in the fall, but it’s more so for fashion. In the winter, I care about them both for fashion AND warmth. One trend for scarves are blanket scarves and my boyfriend’s parents got me one for Christmas. I wore it during two of the coldest days of the year and it kept me so nice and warm. It is huge though because it is the size of a blanket. But honestly, it’s one of my favorite things now.
I usually use a big bag, but for some special events or a night out when I don’t think that I will need much expect my phone, license, bank cards, and a little cash, I prefer to carry around a wristlet/clutch. I’m not sure how much tweed is “in style” these days but I still really like it in some things! One of my best friends got me this and I love to use it.
Lastly, this is one of my favorite sweaters ever! It’s a black and white Ellen Tracy sweater and looks good with black, white, or cranberry pants. I can also pair it with a statement necklace and it looks so pretty!
